For most of these teens, they started training in a CF Kids class without any equipment, using the movement cues we use in CrossFit Kids Ireland.

Children initially need to learn good movement patterns, which is why they don’t lift ‘weights’ until they’re movement is perfect. Children develop their strength through neurological adaptation (muscle learning), and not through hypertrophy (muscle growth).
